Q5 - Consumer: I would like to have the features

Hi, so I didn't see a topic for this particular question. Although I got it correct during my studying (answer choice C), I'm curious as to why answer choice B is incorrect.

Q10 - The terms "sex" and "gender" are often used

I got down to answer choices A and D, but I chose A because of how much the author focuses on gender traits. I see how D is correct but I still don't understand why A isn't a good choice.

Q17 - The widespread staff reductions

I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out why (A) is the right answer. (E) seems to make a lot more sense to me, why is (E) wrong?

Re: Q14 - The fact that politicians in

I thought (E) was wrong because the original stimulus is talking about ONE alternative to reduce government spending, while (E) talks about 2 ways for Thelma to become famous (writing or directing plays).

Can someone please clear this up for me? I'm still very confused about it.

Re: Q17 - The widespread staff reductions

Great explanation! Thanks so much, I understand it now. Originally I had it down to A and E but figured E made a lot more sense, but after reading your reply it is much clearer now.

Re: Q5 - Oscar: I have been accused

My only issue with this question, and it's the reason I chose A over D, is the fact that D says "quote", when in fact Oscar never quoted. He used someone else's work without giving them credit, but wouldn't "quoting" someone be giving them credit?

Re: Q25 - Unless negotiations begin soon, the cease

I'm having significant trouble with this question. I originally chose E, but after reading the above explanations, I see why E is wrong but I still cannot fully understand how A is right. The first sentence of the stim says that cease-fire will be violated if negotiations don't begin soon. (A) says ...

Re: Q25 - Unless negotiations begin soon, the cease

The issue is that you've misinterpreted the first sentence. The first sentence of the stim says that cease-fire will be violated if negotiations don't begin soon. What it really says is that "Unless negotiations begin soon, the cease-fire will be violated." If you put that it in "if/...

Re: Q3 - Unless the building permit

Ok so I see how A is correct, even though I eliminated it without question. But how is C not sufficient enough to make the conclusion be properly drawn? This question confused me when I saw that I got it wrong because I was confident about C.

Re: Q25 - University president: Our pool of applicants

I was stuck between A and C but chose A because C sounded like a conclusion booster. C seems to stay within the conclusions boundaries and doesn't link the phenomena's explanation to the conclusion, which is why I thought C was wrong. Am I right in thinking this way?
