A Fraction with a Negative Exponent within a Fraction

by samwong Sun Jul 29, 2012 6:52 pm

When there is a fraction with a negative exponent within another fraction, do you just take the reciprocal of the fraction with the negative exponent?

I made up this problem:

[(1/2)exp(-1)] / [{(2/3)exp(-1)}x(3/4)]

x=multiply

Is the answer 16/9?

Thank you.
