Can I take only the quantitive section?

by lital.liberty Tue Jan 20, 2015 3:00 am

Hi,
The school I'm trying to apply to requires only the quantitive section score. Can I somehow take only the quantitive section?

No, you have to take the full test. You could theoretically just guess on the sections that you don't need, but I don't recommend that for two reasons:

(1) The test-makers reserve the right to cancel test scores for anything they consider to be "irregular" and they specifically list skipping a section as one of the possible irregularities. (This doesn't mean that they definitely would cancel the scores on such a test...but they reserve the right to do so.)

(2) You could, later, decide to apply somewhere else, in which case you wouldn't want a test with very low scores on 3 of the 4 sections.

I'm curious: what school asks for only the quant section?
