Hi,
When the question reads as difference between a and b should we take a-b or b-a ? Does GMAT test this ? I checked website and there is no definate answer for this..

Usually, the difference between a and b refers to the positive difference, that is |a - b|.
If the sign mattered, the GMAT would specify more clearly.
