Do I need to buy new books for OG14?

by vijay2990 Tue Aug 12, 2014 5:29 am

I bought my M-GMAT books last year (5th edition) corresponding to the OG13. Now the next edition of the OG is out.
I delayed my GMAT exams by a year and haven't used the books at all. I plan to give them around Dec2014 or Jan2015.
I wanted to check whether the same 5th edition books would be enough and whether I can continue prepping from OG13 or whether it is advisable to buy the OG14.

One more thing, I activated my online editions for a few books back in August 2013 and they expire this month. However, I didn't use any of them since I delayed my G-MAT test by a year. Could I extend the validity for a few more months??

Thanks!

The new book is actually called OG 2015 - they've stopped using edition numbers and are just using the year.

OG 2015 is identical to OG13. Exact same questions, in the same order, with the same explanations...everything. The only difference is that the new book also gives you access to the same questions in an online program that lets you create problem sets.

So, if you already have OG13 and the 2nd edition of the two supplements (quant and verbal), you don't need to get the new books. (The two supplements are also identical in every way except you also have the same problems available in the same online software program.)

In terms of extending access for your MGMAT books, contact our office (800.576.GMAT from the US or Canada or gmat@manhattanprep.com) to ask how you can do that.

We can't extend access for the OG books, since they aren't ours. The only online access for OG13 is the IR questions - so if you haven't activated them yet, don't until you're ready to study IR!
