Quantitative Review - 2nd Edition
Q#108

My findings are not in sync with official answer. Can someone explain?

price of paperback = p
price of hardcover = h
Q: p + h = ?

(1) 2p + 3h = 12.50
(2) 4p + 6h = 25.00

If you divide (2) throughout by 2 then you get (1).
this simply means there is only one equation to solve 2 variables - which is simply not enough. hence the answer is (E)

thanks. my bad. when I looked at a DS with 2 variables, i assumed the answer as "C".

OG is a banned source; it is illegal to post OG questions anywhere on the web.
If you are in one of our classes, please ask OG questions during office hours or before/after class.
