Is x>y ?
1) x^2 > y^2
2) y-y^2 > 0

IMO : E

1) x^2 > y^2

==> |X| > |Y|

Not Sufficient.

2) Y(1-Y) > 0

==> 0 < Y < 1

Tell about Y only.

Combine both 1 and 2, suppose if Y = 0.5 then X could be -2 or 2.

So Answer should be E.

Sunny Jain's solution looks right.

Statement (1) is insufficient because we don't know whether x and y are positive or negative.

Statement (2) is insufficient because it doesn't provide any information about x.

Using the two statements together:
We can manipulate statement (2)
y(1 - y) > 0 or y (y - 1) < 0
This means y is between 0 and 1. However, we still don't know whether x is positive or negative. Using the statements together is still insufficient.

(E) is the answer.
