EI and VIC Page 85, problem 5 solutoin is wrong?

I think the solution is wrong. For x+y to be 11, x will need to be 6, but, x <6 (given).

Please post the entire problem; we often don't have access to our books when replying. (And, even when we do have our books, we want to answer as many student questions as we can and we can't answer as many if we have to look them up!)
