if 4^(x) + 4^(-x)= 7
solve 8^(x) + 8^(-x)

Please read the forum rules before posting.

• We need a citation of the original source of the problem.

• The problem needs to come from a GMAT-related source. (It seems doubtful that this problem comes from such a source.)

• The problem should be reproduced exactly as originally provided, including all answer choices.
