After studying for 2 weeks I finally decided to have my first MGMAT CAT today. And all I can say is that it left me quite confused. Furthermore I don't know if I should feel good or bad about that score.
After all I've read about the GMAT so far, I always thought the Verbal score will be significantly lower than the Quant score. As you can see, it wasn't (V32=64%, Q37=44%).
Even more confusing: until now I strongly focused on Quant preparation and thought that my quant skills were more or less decent. And here comes the kicker: I am not at all a native speaker.
Originally my target was around a = 700, now I decreased it to 650+.
My real GMAT will take place on 23rd May, so I have another 15-16 days left for preparation, which may not seem very much, but at least it is the only thing I am currently concetrationg on. No job, no lectures, no commitments but GMAT.
So how would you interprete these figures above? How would you adjust your further studies according to the given information, I may summarize:
- First CAT: 580 (V32=64%, Q37=44%)
- Target: 650++
- 16 days left
- 5 CATs and 2 GMAT Prep CATs left
- Material available: OG12 (main+quant+verbal review), complete set of Manhattan GMAT books, Kaplan 800
- Going to skip AWA and IR completely as they are not being factored in by the schools I want to go to.
One further question:
in this topic og12-to-og13-problem-number-conversion-t20580.html it says: You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. As I do study with the OG 12th it would be very important for me to be able to get these files.
Thank you very much! Dankeschön!
