Hi,
Would you be able to clarify the explanation for In-Action problem #8 pg. 73 in the Equations, Inequalities book.
The question reads, If f(x)=(x+square rt of 3) ^4, what is the range of the function f(x)?
And the answer is f(x)>=0.
I understand that raising this to an even power will result in a non-negative value, however why would the range be ALL non-negative numbers vs. a subset of non-negative numbers?
Thanks for your help in advance,
