Geometric Series - Scope

are Geometric series are within GMAT scope -
e.g. Term n of a series of n terms = a + r^(n-1)

I think that if the GMAT tests a geometric series they will provide the formula, so I wouldn't worry about memorizing it.

Tn = a * r^(n-1) and not a + r^(n-1).
