Re: Gerund Vs infinitive

I don't understand the infinitive vs gerund issue discussed here. I am not clear about when to use infinitive rather than gerund and vice versa.

Choice (c) vs (d) hinges on the incorrect usage of infinitive vs gerund but am not sure why we need a gerund here?

Are there any grammatical rules when to use infinitive over the gerund and vice versa?

I think the point of the preceding discussion is that no one is clear on this one. I’m with Stacey and Ron that this question is really suspect and you aren’t likely to see this issue being tested. That said, you really should not worry about this one..

I checked and it's been deactivated; can't say when.
