How does a poor GMAT (640; high verbal - 95%, low quant- 50%) weight against a high GPA (3.7) from an Ivy League school with regard to academic aptitude? Also if I received an A in accounting and passed a Pass/Fail Calculus course while in college - how is this measured versus a low GMAT Quant Score. I've also worked in financial services - investment bank, now research firm- for the last three years. Clearly there are applicants with strong stats across the board.
Also are there particularly schools that emphasize a strong verbal score - as most seem to focus on the quant. I plan to take the test again, but am curious.
Thanks.
