GMAT Test Prep Question

If the mean of a set of numbers is 13.5 and its standard deviation is 1.5 . What is the value which is 2 standard deviations away from the mean ?

There can be multiple values for the answer because the relation between SD and Mean is quadratic in nature

Could u please elaborate the possible solutions n explanation . The options were given as
A) 10.5
B) 11.5
C) 14.5
D) 15

Okay, first this has nothing to with the quadratic nature of SD. In fact, this question has nothing to do with SD at all. Use any noun in place of SD and the question is just asking what number is two 1.5's away from 13.5. There are two answers because you can go in either direction from 13.5..

BTW I'm curious why there are only four answer choices listed. Where did this problem come from?
