Harvard 2+2 profile evaluation

Hi

Kindly evaluate my profile. I am a final year college student applying for the Harvard 2+2 program.

Academics:
- Brandeis University B.S. in Health, Science, Society and Policy (HSSP); Business (GPA 3.76)
Working on my senior honor thesis for my HSSP
- GMAT not yet taken (630-690 from practice test)

Work Exp:
- summer Marketing internship at Dana-Farber
- Spring internship at McLean Hospital
- Fall internship at Joslin Diabetes Center
- Research assistant for a professor at Brandeis

Extra Curricular/Leadership:
- Marketing Coordinator for Parents Weekend
- Event Coordinator for Chinese Cultural Club
- Coordinator for a cultural show that showcase performance from different clubs on campus

Career goal: Healthcare administration, aims at improving the existing high cost and fragmented health care system

Hi Ju,

Thanks for sharing your profile. Let's take a look:

Academics: You have a very strong GPA, so that is great. However, based on your practice test, it looks like you might not reach the 700 mark on the actual GMAT. This could hinder your chances at 2+2.

Work experience: Your work experience looks interesting and it's great that you're doing internships during the school year as well. The important thing here is to be able to demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork capability - it's difficult for me to assess the quality of your experiences without more information here. Ideally, you'd have experience from well know institutions - e.g. a top consulting company or marketing company or something like that. But, again, it just depends on what you did.

Extracurricular: Looks like you're somewhat active on campus and that is great. However, I don't see really deep leadership experience here (founded a club, etc.) that would help you stand out from other candidates.

From what I can tell, I think 2+2 would be a stretch for you, but I recommend you take advantage of our free phone consultation to get a more detailed and personalized assessment.
