If N is a positive integer and n^2

by eaprutting Thu Feb 21, 2013 10:13 pm

If N is a positive integer and n^2 is divisible by 72 then the largest positive integer that must divide n is...
A) 6
B) 12
C)24
D)36
E)48

This is from the OG 13 Quant guide question 169. I am having trouble with the OG response. Understand getting primes of 72 but where do I go from there? Thanks

Please see this thread: og-quant-review-169-t765.html

Going forward, please know that Official Guide questions are no longer permitted to be posted on the forum, by request of the GMAT test writers. Please see the forum guidelines here: read-before-you-post-general-math-folder-guidelines-t2717.html Fortunately this particular question was discussed before this restriction went into effect, so I have this thread to point you to. :-)
