Please help!

If wx=y, what is the value of xy?

1) wx^2=16
2)y=4


(answer is A)

Isn't this a verbal posting section?

Anyway, wx^2 can be written wxx = (wx)(x) = (y)(x) or simply xy. So xy = 16. A is sufficient.
