Shouldn't the lowest common multiple of any 2 numbers be 0 then? But that's not have the L.C.M. is calculated..

by definition, LCM operates on two positive integers and returns a positive integer. without this constraint, the LCM of 2 and 3 wouldn't be 6, or even 0, or even -30; indeed there would be no lower limit..
