ISSUE ESSAY PROBLEM, STAYCEY, PLS, HELP

by thanghnvn Thu Apr 21, 2011 5:48 am

for issue essay, normally I can easily brainstorm ONLY ONE REASON to support my oponion. I find very hard to brainstorm the other 2 reasons to support.

1, anyone have any method to brainstorm the other 2 reasons.?

2, can I use ONE REASON AND 2 EXAMPLE (total 3 paragraphs) to support my opinion?

I know that it is very good if my body paragraph of issue essay is like the following

paragraph 1: reason 1+ example 1
paragraph 2: reason 2 + example 2
paragraph 3 reason 3+ example 3

but can I write the following:

paragraph 1: reason 1
paragraph 2: example 1
paragraph 3: example 2

I think it is ok to write reason+example1+example 2 because it is also a thesis+supporting detail. but I need expert to confirm.

see my response to your other posts - yes, your primary task on the issue essay is to brainstorm the examples that support your position / point of view.

I agree that we should work only 30 hours a week (position / point of view)

Examples to support:
- studies have shown that people who work fewer hours by choice are less stressed and generally healthier
- in a survey, the majority of respondents said that they would prefer to work fewer hours

(Note: I may be making those two things up, but I'm writing about them as though they are real, actual pieces of evidence. :)
