Hi,
I will be taking GMAT on September 27, 2011. I have been preparing for 2 months. Last week I purchased MGMAT CATs. I have taken 5 of them till now. A brief summary of my performance in MGMAT CATs is mentioned below:
09/05/11
CAT 1 : Overall-680 (Percentile Rank: 90)
Quantitative -48 (Percentile Rank: 86)
Difficulty Level : 500-600:1 ; 600-700:7; 700-800:29
Verbal -35 (Percentile Rank: 77)
Difficulty Level : 500-600:1 ; 600-700:12; 700-800:28
09/15/11
CAT 2 : Overall-730 (Percentile Rank: 97)
Quantitative -50 (Percentile Rank: 95)
Difficulty Level : 600-700:3; 700-800:38
Verbal -40 (Percentile Rank: 91)
Difficulty Level : 500-600:2 ; 600-700:6; 700-800:33
09/16/11
CAT 3 : Overall-730 (Percentile Rank: 97)
Quantitative -49 (Percentile Rank: 90)
Difficulty Level : 300-500:1; 500-600:2; 600-700:8; 700-800:26
Verbal -40 (Percentile Rank: 91)
Difficulty Level : 300-500:1; 500-600:3; 600-700:11;700-800:26
09/19/11
CAT 4 : Overall-740 (Percentile Rank: 98)
Quantitative -51 (Percentile Rank: 99)
Difficulty Level : 500-600:1; 600-700:16; 700-800:20
Verbal -40 (Percentile Rank: 91)
Difficulty Level : 500-600:4; 600-700:22;700-800:15
09/21/11
CAT 5 : Overall-750 (Percentile Rank: 98)
Quantitative -51 (Percentile Rank: 99)
Difficulty Level: 300-500:1; 500-600:1; 600-700: 24; 700-800:11
Verbal -41 (Percentile Rank: 93) Difficulty Level: 500-600:3; 600-700:22; 700-800:16
On observing these results, I find that in both verbal and quantitative sections, the frequency of 700-800 level question has decreased steadily from CAT 2 and in CATs 4 & 5 there is a marked decrease while the opposite is true for questions of level for 600-700. I wanted the instructors' opinion on how well I am faring and whether my scores in CAT 4 & 5 are inflated. By the way I had earlier given GMAT Prep CATs:
GMAT Prep CAT 1: 720
GMAT Prep CAT 2: 730 (I don't remember the raw scores as the last GMAT Prep I took was almost 20 days ago.)
I realize that with 6 days to go, there is not much I can do but still the instructors' opinion would help me set a realistic target for the real thing.
