MGMAT Forum math symbols

Sorry, but where are the ^, * etc, symbols explained?

Hi vilshofen,
I'm so sorry for the confusion. Unfortunately they are not explained anywhere; let me give you a quick rundown below:

^ means to an exponent, so 3^2 is 3 squared or 9
* means multiply
sqrt means square root

I can't think of anything else that we use to stand in for math symbols. You may see some pound signs and other symbols but they would be used in function questions and are not standing in for other mathematical operations.
