Apologies if this has been posted before, I can't seem to search properly through the forum...
The NY classical Group is designing liner notes for an upcoming CD release. There are 10 Soloists featured on the album but the liner notes are only 5 pages long, and therefore only have room for 5 soloists. Soloists are fighting over which of them will appear in in the linear notes but not about the page they appear on. How many different combination of soloists can appear in the liner notes?
This does not have multiple choice options.
A: It says that its 10!/5!5! = 10 * 9^3 * 8^2 * 7*6../(5!*5!). While i understand why its 10!/5!5!, I do not understand where the exponents come in for 9 and 8.
