Official vs unofficial exercises

by LeonardoP685 Mon Aug 04, 2014 8:54 am

Hi everyone,

I've just finished all the OG13 exercises and I've looked on the web for extra exercises finding in gmat club a huge resource!

Despite that, I'm finding the questions on gmat club way harder (at all levels) than what was found in the OG/MGMAT and I'm starting to worry about that.

My question is: are gmat club questions harder or OG easier than what I should expect on the test day?

Thanks for your time,
tim

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that this is a question that should have been posted to the gmat club forums. One thing I will say for sure is that you are going to be better off restricting your study to trusted resources such as the OG. If you have thoroughly learned everything in the OG, you should be ready for the GMAT. The contrapositive holds as well: if you are not ready for the GMAT, then no matter how many OG questions you have "done", you have not learned everything you need from them and need to go back and review them further.

Thanks for your reply Tim.

I expected this answer and the reason why I asked it here is because I consider MGMAT instructors a better informed source (for obvious reasons)!

Ok so OG+MGMAT books it's ALL I need even for Q47+? Thanks!

Best,

It's difficult to say what will be "easy" or not for a given student. However it is generally true that knowing all the facts and strategies, together with being able to implement them on actual problems with appropriate timing, is the key to success on the GMAT.
