OG13 to OG2015

by StaceyKoprince Mon Apr 08, 2013 9:08 pm

Hi, guys

If you are studying from OG13 or the 2nd Edition of the Quant and Verbal Supplements, you may be wondering what to do about the new 2015 editions of the books.

Good news. The problems printed in OG13 / 2nd edition are 100% identical to the problems printed in the 2015 editions. There are no new or different problems in this year's editions. In fact, the problems even have the exact same numbering, so you can still use your ManhattanGMAT 5th Edition guides with the new edition OGs.

The only different is that the new editions give you access to online question banks of the same problems printed in the book. These online banks are useful in terms of setting up random sets of problems, but there are no new problems anywhere.

If you'd like to know more about the online access, please read this:

Happy studying!

Hi, all

I edited the above post to remove info about OG12 to OG13 (since that took place many years ago now!) and replaced it with information about the new 2015 editions of the OGs. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Stacey,
Thanks for this post.
You mentioned setting up random set of problems with the new software (OG and supplements )
In your experience whats the best way to set up timed drills ?

I am a GMAT interact student and have found the navigator to be pretty useful.( because of the stats and the answers). However, we can not set up question sets on it. Is there a tried and tested way around this problem ?

And I had one more question regarding strategy and timing of my GMAT exam. What will be the best forum to ask you that ?

Thanks a ton
Akshat

This is the forum folder in which to ask about strategy questions - but not this thread specifically. Start a new regular post in this folder.

If you have OG2015, then just use their online problem access to set up random question sets - if you log in and play around with it a little, you'll see how it works. Here's my write-up from when I played around with it:

If not, you'll just have to construct random sets yourself from the paper book. This gives some guidelines, but you'll have to flip the pages, etc, yourself:
