Only seven people this century --need clarification

by vijitgpt Sun Sep 01, 2013 3:32 am

Hi Ron,

I have gone through the following discussion on this sentence-
can-somebody-help-me-out-with-this-question-t4278.html

i have 2 questions-
1.You mentioned that for demosntrative pronoun that/those etc in diffirent caluses they have to maintain same structure..the reason we eleimnated option A

But here fewer than have been is acting as a modifies seperated by dash rather than a comma(to put more emphasis)..

How can a modifier is in parallel clause without a parallel indicator as but,or,and etc

A modifier need not be paraller to the clause or noun it is modifying

2.Also can you give an example of 2 parallel clause with same structure and one of them using that/those etc

Thanks,
Vijit

Hi,
It appears that you're creating a new thread ... to ask a question about an existing thread. You even posted a link to it!
I don't know why you would do this, but, please don't. (We don't want multiple threads about the same problem.)

Please re-post your question on the original thread. Thanks.

Also, please try to phrase your question in a way that's easier to understand. (You should also use more punctuation; about half the sentences in your post here are essentially unreadable.)
