Panic in paris!

by claudayst Mon Mar 11, 2013 5:50 pm

Last monday, i took a gmat exam in real conditions with kaplan, and scored 640.
I was advised to take your online cat and questions banks as a complementary program. I did.
Ever since, i am panicking like never before!! First i take my first mgmat cat and get completely overwhelmed by the quant section. Very tough questions, tons of calculations...i manage to reach the 32 question before it ends and get a poor score of 36...then, worse comes to worst, totally panicked and having a hard time concentrating i screw my verbal section and get a score of...20...final verdict 470...2 months of hard efforts scrapped in a blink of an eye...
Then today i decide to take a 20 min quiz from your quant bank "fractions". I find myself dealing with 25 questions half of them 700-800 level...should i quit studying or mgmat is designed for math freaks? Thanks for your help...

that's what the LSAT people call a false dichotomy. :) no you shouldn't quit studying, and no MGMAT is not designed for math freaks. try posting something in the "General GMAT Strategy Questions" section of our forums and you should be able to get some good advice on studying. If you have specific questions about problems you see, feel free to post them in the appropriate section and we'll be glad to help you with them. There is also a lot of good material on our website regarding general study strategies..
