Hi everyone,
Can anyone offer some tips on what the "GMAT-correct" parallelism is regarding the use of "be" verb, particularly on the structural element of the sentence?
For example:
1. My goal is to make sure that you will succeed on this project.
vs.
2. My goal is making sure that you will succeed on this project.
I think the second sentence contains the correct parallelism because while gerund (making sure) can be considered a noun, which then matches "my goal" before "is", infinitive (to make sure) does not match structurally.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
