Im a 25 year old asian male.
Have been in the banking industry 6 years, worked positions from teller to personal banker. I took supervisor responsibilites for a 4 months during a time of high employee turnover in my branch. Recieved alot of praise but never had an actual title that would indicate supervisor or managerial responsibilities. I've had numberous sales related accomplishments at wells fargo.
Graduation is pending from Cal State Fullerton in Business Finance. Finance GPA 3.6-3.7.(3A's still pending, just finished finals), but an overall GPA of just 3.02. most recent 60 units GPA is 3.6
I have not been active in any clubs or organizations during college, except for ones that caused me to have a horrible 2.3 gpa during sophomore year.
In Highschool i was appointed a divisional chair position in K.E.Y Club. The divisional board represented 17 schools in the LA metro area. K.E.Y club is the worlds largest highschool community service organization. I also served as a vice president in this organization for my individual high school. Would it be too lame to write about highschool leadership experience on the essays?
like everyone on this forum im shooting for a 700+ GMAT, buts lets say i get about a 670 instead just to be safe.
i would like to stay in southern california for b-school, what would be a realistic "safe" school and a realistic "dream" school for someone with my profile. i think the work background leaves me at a disadvantage b/c of the many financial service related applicants b-schools get.
