I am Venkat.
I have 4.5 yrs of Experience in IT.
MY gmat 570 ( Q47/V21) toefl 92
GPA: 8
ELECTRONICS and Communication Engineering
highschool: 95.4( STATE board)
10th-86.5 (ICSE)

I have entrepreneur experience also.I assist my family in running a GAS Dealership Agency, which supplies Gas for Domestic and Commercial Use.I handled marketing and finance management in the firm.


Post MBA Goals: General Management, IT Service Consulting, IT Marketing and Product Management


Please suggest SCHOOLS for my profile.

Hi Venkat,

Thanks for sharing your profile. With your background and lower GMAT score, I'd suggest that you aim for Tier 2 programs like Thunderbird, Boston College, Case Western, etc. You'll have to do your own research on which schools specifically are good fits for you, but I think this is the range/tier you want to target.

In addition to my earlier post, i Have entrepreneur experience also

I have 1.5 years of entrepreneur experience,I assisted my family in running a LPG GAS Dealership Agency, which supplies Gas for Domestic and Commercial use (Hotels, Restaruants, etc) .I took up the following management activities.


· Advertising Product.
· Manage Finances and Assets.
· Procurement and distribution of gas
· Ensuring customer satisfaction
· Third party Delegation.
· Managing and motivating manpower

So 4.5( 2008-2012) years experience in IT and 1.5 years(2008-2010) as an entrepreneur.Please suggest some decent colleges in Canada also.I am also looking for healthy job opportunity post MBA.

Your family business experience is good -- you'll need to show real results/impact on the business in order for it to be taken seriously though. In Canada you could look at Sauder potentially, but you'll need to research the programs and see what is a fit.
