quant question - is x>y?

by ankitdhawan2006 Mon Jun 30, 2014 3:38 pm

Is x>y ?

1. sq rt (x) > sq rt (y)
2. x (square) > Y (square)

If x and y are considered negative, then the OA should be E.

Please help.

Regards,
Ankit

Please remember to read (and follow!) the forum guidelines before posting. This folder is only for general strategy questions, not content or specific test problems. Check out the content / problem folders and post in the relevant folder depending upon the source of the problem you want to post (and make sure to follow the rules about banned sources). If you are a course student, you can also ask about other problems or issues before or after class or during section.

Questions also have to cite the source in the General Quant and General Verbal folders - we can't answer without a source cited. So go ahead and move your question to the relevant folder and, if it's a general question, make sure to cite the source. (And make sure to check the banned source list first.) Thanks!
