Dear Instructor,
I have a question on the page 133 of 5ed Sentence Correction:
2. I scored three goals in yesterday's game, as did Suzanne.
Can I put the verb "did" behind the noun "Suzanne"? so the sentence will be:
I scored three goals in yesterday's game, as Suzanne did.
Because I found similar example on page 128:
As her brother did, Ava aced the test.
Here the verb did is behind the noun "her brother".
Could you tell me when to use " as somebody does" and when to use "as does soebody " please?

On the same page, ( Manhattan SC 5th ed, page 133)
Question 10 and 11 have 2 correct version:
The clothes looked more appealing inside the store than (they did) on the racks outside.
The clothes inside the store looked more appealing than (did) those on the racks outside.
The words in () can be omitted.But can we write the other way (did they) in the first sentence and those (did) in the second sentence??

The order of the subject and verb in these clauses is a matter of style; neither order is incorrect.

So is used as a conjunction to introduce results or outcomes of the previous clause.
Example: I didn't study for my history test, so I failed.
It can also be used to accentuate a description.
Example: The book was SO SHORT THAT I could read it in one night.
On the GMAT, it's unlikely to see it as you presented it above. However, "so did I" is something that people commonly say.
The word "as" is used in comparisons between clauses. This means that when you see as used with a comparison, it should always be followed by a verb. In this case, the verb is did.
This example is correct.
