Regular hexagon = six equilateral triangles

While it's easy to memorize that a regular hexagon can be split into 6 equilateral triangles, is there a relatively simple, conceptual way of proving / understanding this (given a central angle of 60 deg., etc)? Thanks

definitely. if you accept that it is possible to find the center of a regular hexagon, by symmetry the distance to each vertex must be a constant. those "radii" are 60 degrees apart, and any isosceles triangle with a vertex of 60 will be equilateral..
