Hi,
In the problem set of SC basic Manhattan GMAt, Question number 3; it asks to correct this sentence:
Many teachers choose to seek employment in the suburbs rather than facing low salaries in the city.
The answer was:
Many teachers choose to [SEEK employment in the suburbs (rather than) FACE low salaries in the city].
I have 2 questions:
1- why the below answer is not correct.
Many teachers choose [TO SEEK employment in the suburbs (rather than) TO FACE low salaries in the city].
2- How can you choose what set of parallel elements and decide to include "To" or another wording or not to include it?
Thanks in advance
