No, we cannot reasonably assume this. The GMAT has been rather vague about how exactly it plans to test idioms moving forward, but I haven't seen much evidence that things have changed substantially since they made this announcement.

Hi Jonathan,

I have a doubt here, though not related to the question posted on the thread, but to the reply in your last post. Hope you can help me out with it here itself.
You used the word 'especially' above- isn't it incorrect here? The word should be 'specially' spelt without an 'e'? This is because I faced a similar question in the GMAT prep software which taught me the difference, but I just want to be sure whether I learnt the right thing or not. Please comment.

You're responding to a post that's 5 years old. Jonathan hasn't posted on this forum in years.

His use of "especially" makes sense. I.e., "it's a good idea in general, but it's especially (= even more than normal) a good idea because xxxxx".
