Sentence Correction

by archana_kamat01 Mon Jun 29, 2009 9:39 am

Hi All,

I would be going for GMAT in the month of Sept but i have a problem to start with Verbal.
May anyone please let me know, what exactly do we have to learn from GRAMMAR to firm the base for sentence correction.

Please let me know the syllabus of GRAMMER coming in GMAT exams.

Regards,
Archu

Start with Manhattan sentence correction guide, and use OG 10 it has larger compilation of questions. when you are practising initially keep the M SC guide and refer to it as much as possible. People recommend going through Wren & Martin, if you can find one please go through it.

first of all, this is the wrong folder for this question; you should have posted the question in the GENERAL VERBAL FOLDER.

we will move it.

* you can purchase our sentence correction guide from our website, on amazon.com, or at any large bookstore (such as borders or barnes and noble).
if you buy the guide at a physical bookstore, check whether it's the THIRD or FOURTH edition.
the THIRD edition is indexed to the problem numbers from the 11th edition official gmat guide ("OG11").
the FOURTH edition is keyed to the problem numbers from the 12th edition official gmat guide ("OG12").

* "OG 10" is the 10th edition of the official guide to the gmat.
it has been out of print for some time; the current edition is the 12th edition.
you may be able to find it used on amazon.
you may also be able to find it at your local public library.
it's a rather unsightly blue-and-green affair, printed on cheap newsprint.
