Standard Deviation

Can someone please explain the best method to answer the following question? This question is from GMAT PREP.

If d is the standard deviation of x, y, z, what is the standard deviation of x+5, y+5, z+5 ?

A. d
B. 3d
C. 15d
D. d+5
E. d+15

This is the wrong folder for this problem. If the problem is from GMAT PREP, then it belongs in the GMAT PREP folder. Please re-post it there.

2/
Please ask at least one specific question about the problem. What do you already understand? What don't you understand? What methods have you already tried? Etc.

Please don't just post a problem and ask for a general solution. If you do that, the best possible response is "Check out the answer key that comes with the problem".
When you re-post this thread, please accompany the problem with a discussion of what you've already tried as well as at least one specific question.
