Triangle Questions

by Pedro Sat Nov 21, 2015 12:43 am

Hi all,

1. Similar to how the x-x-x(sqrt(2)) and x-x(sqrt(3))-2x triangles correspond to 45-45-90 and 30-60-90 angles, respectively, does the 3-4-5 triangle have its angles in a constant ratio?

2. What is the difference between equal and congruent angles?

3. Is it true that similar triangles have the exact same interor angles?

Thank you!

yes, but those angles are beyond the scope of this exam. (to find them you would need trigonometry, which is not tested on this exam.)

'similar' means 'same shape, different size'. so, yes.

...and, by the way, this is the wrong folder for this query. (this sort of thing belongs in the 'general math questions' folder.)
