Using Error Log:

by Ineedhelp Sun Nov 25, 2012 2:02 pm

Can someone tell me the specifics of using an Error Log properly, or creating one on excel, what's the point of the error log? And how can I use it to maximize my absorption of concepts.

Have you read this?

Also, here's a more recent article on minimizing careless mistakes:

The general point here is very simple: how can we learn from our errors? For any problem you study, you should have what we call "takeaways" - and if that problem included an error on your part of any kind, then the takeaways should include how to minimize the chances that you repeat that same kind of error in future.

So ask yourself: why did I make that error / these errors? (There may be multiple reasons.) What bad habits do I need to break or good habits do I need to make in order to minimize the chances of repeating that error? What else do I need to learn or practice (content, skills, efficiency / timing, etc) in order to minimize the chances... etc.
