How you would you categorize this particular game?

Sorry for the delayed response.

I don't think we have a good name for what type of game this is. Other companies (including us in the distant past) would call this Assignment, and that's really just a fancy name for Miscellaneous.

It doesn't really have Ordering or Grouping tasks, although we are using a diagram that looks closer to ordering because we need to figure out what will be in slots 1 through 5.

In terms of Inferences, I don't think we're getting many / any, because there's way too much freedom with what we're allowed to do. We could infer that there's a max of 2 G's and min of 0.

None of the four types of features are required, so you don't HAVE to use F, I, M or T.

You can also re-use features to reach your minimum of 3. For example, I could just have 3 M's and 2 G's.
MMMGG
MMGMG
MMGGM
etc.

There are 10 permutations (different orderings) of JUST that option!

When a game has too many open spaces, or too few requirements about what needs to get used, there will very rarely be any big inferences. It's a wide open game, and it'll just require some imaginative plug-n-chug.

Hope this helps.

Why is MMGGM allowed? I thought the rule says "Any feature occupying more than one slot must occupy consecutively numbered slots"...Why M can appear in 5 separately from the other 2 Ms?

Because MM, GG, and M are three separate features. The first rule applies to MM and GG, not M, because MM and GG are two separate features that occupy consecutive slots.
