Having trouble with the inferences off this one - anyone care to share a diagram/processes? Thanks.

The game requires a few tricky deductions but the most important is what happens to H. There are 3 of them and they cannot go on day 1, nor consecutively. As you move through the game you will find that H's are either going to be forced going days 2, 4, and 6, or going 3, 5, and 7.

Typically 3D numbered ordering games require more upfront deductions, and I think you'll find that on more recent tests you will want to spend more time finding deductions before you move into the questions. This game is 9 years old and feels just ever so slightly different. But the organization of the information is the same.

Attached is a pdf of the setup and explanations to the first two questions.

Hey - The download keeps ending up as incomplete/empty - can you repost the PDF? Thanks.

Why could the scenarios for the H distribution not be:

2-4-6
2-4-7
2-5-7
3-5-7

Or are you saying that those distributions exist, but that the game's questions put you in basically only 2 of those scenarios?

Wow, I just reread that, and I was far from clear in my earlier post. You are absolutely correct. After notating the constraints H can be featured on:

2-4-6
2-4-7
2-5-7
3-5-7

What I was trying to show, is that if you feature anything other than H on day 2 or day 7, you will know exactly on which days H will be featured (and in the questions, this will typically be 2-4-6 or 3-5-7). So questions 20, 22, and 24 will all guarantee that H is 2-4-6 or 3-5-7.

Thanks for bringing that comment to my attention!
