Hello all,
Lately I've been getting tripped up by flaw questions that incorporate the answer choice “Infers that something will work merely because it could work”, or “the argument takes evidence showing merely that its conclusion could deb true to constitute evidence showing that the conclusion is in fact true”, etc.
I have a hard time trusting this answer choice because every time I do choose it, it doesn’t apply to the situation; and the times that it does apply, I feel that there is some reason to be skeptical of it. Would someone be able to give me some examples of this situation being the case so that maybe I can gain a better understanding of what this means?
I feel like this is more commonly a wrong answer than it is a correct choice, but it would be interesting to hear from someone who has more insight on this issue.
Thank you so much,
Ines
