Hi! Sorry for the delay here. We had a technical issue that caused a TON of posts to get buried (no pun intended).
The purpose of P1 is to introduce the argument that is evinced in the later paragraphs. I'd map it like so:
P1 - Intro argument - Botai earliest horse riders
P2 - Evidence - more grown males doesn't reflect horse hunting
P3 - Evidence - whole carcasses + buried with humans
This structure is reflected in the correct answer to Q13: A hypothesis is outlined (Botai were the earliest riders), and then a line of reasoning in support of the hypothesis is developed (the evidence from P's 2 & 3 ).
