I can see why D is wrong, it is not a single fact incompatible with a theory, but two theories incompatible with each other with regard to a single fact, the fact that sibling species can not interbreed is completely compatible with the typological theory according to which distinguish species solely on the basis of observable physical characteristics .but mainstream theory claims that the fact sibling species can not interbreed is proof that they are separate species .so the single fact is compatible with both theories but ultimately yield different explanations .that is to say the only thing incompatible with each other is theory-theory relationship, not fact-theory relationship .
