Q3 - Birds startled by potential predators

by cyt5015 Tue Oct 15, 2013 12:01 pm

I chose E but I don't understand why it is correct. The birds, when startled, they fly away from the vegetation, but into the windowpanes which reflect surrounding vegetation. It sounds like a child gave up a real apple but wanted the apple in the mirror. Can someone help with me this? Thank you.

Hey Cyt,

A bird isn't a child. It has a tiny little bird brain. It doesn't know what a window or mirror is. So it's simply flying towards vegetation, and it can't differentiate between the real thing and the reflection. Your thinking was fine here!
