Hi,
I got this one right just by looking at the previous work and eliminating wrong answers one-by-one. Is there a more efficient way to solve this?

If you were able to eliminate four answers from previous work, that's a great approach!
If you framed the game initially, you could probably judge each answer on the fly. Most of us frame this game based on the third rule, since it has only two options:
1 2 __ __ __
or
2 4 __ __ __
If we write off to the side the remaining digits and keep in mind the 3rd < 5th rule, we should be good:
1 2 __ __ __ (0, 3, 4)
2 4 __ __ __ (0, 1, 3)
(A) 2 4 0 1 3 is a counterexample
(B) frame 1 is a counterexample
(C) 1 2 0 4 3 is a counterexample
(D) 2 4 0 1 3 is a counterexample
(E) Sure.
