If M accompanies L and T, then the following hypothetical results:

Since K is not with M, then V is with O. J and K must be split up, leaving S to go with P. Answer choice (E) must be true. Notice that the two children not yet assigned are J and K and that each of the incorrect answers tries to place one or the other of them.
